Due to technical difficulties I do not have access to your individual emails (or your parents' emails). Spread the word to your fellow classmates that they should look here for some FUN summer schoolwork. *1) Go to YouCubed and watch the "Four Boosting Math Messages" *2) On the same webpage, scroll down and explore the various math puzzles. Choose one to solve, and email me your response ([email protected]). *3) With your parent permission - Play this math game: Refraction(beware: it can be addictive!) *4) Write an autobiography and email it to me. This can be in the email itself, or you can create a GoogleDoc and share it with me. 5) Look for more things to do soon!

Middle School Updates
What is STEM, and why the plus sign? STEM = science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, but there is more to education than those four disciplines My goal is to integrate multiple disciplines in order to make math and science more meaningful for your student. As with all learning, we must take risks, be comfortable failing, and have the resilience to learn from failures. If you have questions, contacts, or resources to help make this connection stronger please feel free to contact me.

My name is Mrs. (Cathy) Goodheart. I've taught kids of all ages, all sorts of subjects since 1998. I love science, and am a big fan of Ms. Frizzle, Bill Nye, and Sally Ride. I'm excited to be a part of the RMAE team, and look forward to learning with you!
